With the area’s bountiful agricultural industry at its doorstep, many residents in the area are critical workers in this local economy. And yet, this diverse, multigenerational community steeped in a myriad of Latino cultures faces many intersecting climate and social justice challenges.

The Southwest Santa Rosa Holistic, Equitable, Actionable, Transformative (HEAT) Action Plan project is YOUR chance to influence long-term decisions to improve how Santa Rosa deals with extreme heat.

Latino Service Providers and Greenbelt Alliance are working together to engage residents and youth to develop a community roadmap for extreme heat resilience based on local priorities. Because people and communities closest to the issue are the ones who are most equipped to develop equitable solutions.
